Our Registry Faves

When selecting our registry item we definitely took a less-is-more approach. We had a good idea of what we regularly used, and what we were lacking, so we focused on entertaining and upgrading our favorite kitchen items. We have honestly used and loved everything we received from Crate and Barrel and Williams-Sonoma, but there are some standouts that we absolutely couldn't live without.

Registry Faves

1. 3-Piece Mesh Colander Set I just love these. They are perfect for rinsing veggies, straining pasta, you name it. The 3 different sizes are so handy.
2. 7-Piece In-Drawer Knife Set The organization freak in me loves these because they leave my counters clutter free, and the cook in me loves how sharp and sturdy the knives are. The best of both worlds!
3. Cuisinart 7-Speed Hand Mixer  I already had a stand mixer, but surprisingly not a hand mixer. I love using this for whipping up something super quick like a batch of brownies or frosting.
4. Stemless Wine Glasses Nothing ground breaking here, but we sure are getting our use out of these and we love them (mostly because they are dishwasher friendly).
5. Williams-Sonoma Traditional Finish Half Sheet Pan These are serious baking sheets. Super heavy-duty, but easy to clean. We especially love them for roasting veggies.
6. Bodum French Press Everyone told us to register for the more popular Keurig and I am so happy we didn't listen. This makes the best coffee, and is super quick. It's definitely our new favorite morning ritual. Which brings us too...
7. CafĂ© Mug the perfect size mug, and for some reason it's just more fun that it's glass.
8. Ici Silicone Tools I have been using these for years and there is just nothing better. We almost never make a meal without these.
9.10-Piece Glass Bowl Set These were another surprise winner because we use them for EVERYTHING. Even the tiny bowl is perfect for prepping. I love them for baking, storing cut  up fruit, and even serving. I can't say enough good things about these bowls.

Summer Reading List

One of the things I'm most looking forward to this summer is grabbing a book and heading to the beach. Here are some of the books on my list, but of course I'm all ears for other recommendations too! Read anything awesome lately?

Our Wedding Invites

Now that the wedding craziness is over, I finally have time to share a few details! Our wedding invites from Minted were one of the first things I selected after we got engaged. I could not have been happier with the result. They are thick and luxurious, and arrived super fast...not to mention friendly on the budget. I would HIGHLY recommend Minted for any invites (they have a huge selection not just limited to weddings). I can honestly say this was of the easiest and best decisions of our planning process.

We're Back!

Popping in really quick to say hello! We made it down the aisle and celebrated with quite the European adventure. I can't wait to catch up with you all and share all the fun details from our wedding and honeymoon! It feels amazing to finally be a Mrs!

Our Engagement Pictures

Here are just a handful of my favorite photos from our engagement session, shot by the wonderful Claire from Rouxby Photography. I think engagement sessions are brilliant for getting a bit more comfortable in front of the camera, and getting to know your photographer. I can't wait to work with Claire again on our wedding day.

On Enjoying the Moment

We are now a mere 26 days away from being husband and wife. I can't really put it into words how crazy and surreal it feels. The wedding has been our life for the past year. It's what people ask about, it's what we talk about on our downtime, it's what I worry and stress about. It has always felt so far off in the distance, and now it is almost here. All the planning will soon be a reality. I just know these next few weeks will fly by, and I'm trying to make an effort to enjoy it rather than stress about all the details. My to-do list is crazy long, but I just keep reminding myself that when it's all over I'll be enjoying croissants in Paris...with my husband :)

My Bachelorette Party

It's very rare that all my friends are in the same place at the same time, sans boyfriends, husbands, or babies. Of course, my bachelorette party was the perfect excuse to leave that all behind, get dolled up, and enjoy some quality girl time.

33 days!!
